报告摘要：

现代工业对远距离参数监测的需求日益增长，本报告将回顾伦敦城市大学在光纤布拉格光栅（FBG）传感器领域的系列研究进展，包括应变、温度、相对湿度、振动、扭矩、转速和扭转位置等传感。研究成果中，光纤传感单元阵列被安装于混凝土、石灰石、船用螺旋桨/方向舵、铁路受电弓及电动机等各类结构中，支持静态和动态两种监测模式，从而增强结构的可靠性和完整性。

This presentation is to review the research activities at City University of London in the development of a range of fibre Bragg grating (FBG)-based sensors, including strain, temperature, relative humidity, vibration, torque, rotational speed and rotational position, with an aim to meet the increasing demands from industry for remote condition monitoring. As a result, arrays of optical fibre sensors have been instrumented into various types of structures, including concrete, limestone, marine propellers/rudders, railway current-collecting pantograph and electric motors, allowing for both static and dynamic monitoring thus to enhance the structural reliability and integrity.

报告人介绍：

孙彤教授于1990、1993和1998年先后获哈尔滨工业大学精密仪器专业学士、硕士和博士学位，并于1999年获英国伦敦城市大学应用物理专业博士学位。她目前担任伦敦城市大学数学、计算机科学及工程系的传感工程领域教授，是伦敦城市大学光子学与仪器研究中心负责人，带领该中心获得2016年皇家学会雅典娜奖亚军。她在光纤传感领域积极开展研究工作，主持多个英国和欧盟研究委员会资助的研究项目，撰写/合著了300余篇科技论文，获得2016年英国皇家工程院颁发的银奖及英国测控研究所颁发的OxburghMedal奖章。

Tong Sun was awarded BEng, MEngand DEng in Precision Instrumentation from Harbin Institute of Technology, China in 1990, 1993 and 1998 respectively and PhD in Applied Physics at City University London in 1999. She is currently Professor of Sensor Engineering in the School of Mathematics, Computer Science and Engineering at City University of London.Prof Sun leads the Research Centre of Photonics and Instrumentation which has been a runner up for the 2016 Royal Society Athena Prize. She also leads active research in the field of optical fibre sensors funded by Research Councils in the UK and at EU. She has authored/co-authored ~300 scientific and technical papers and was a recipient of the Silver Medal awarded by the Royal Academy of Engineering and the OxburghMedal by the Institute of Measurement and Control in the UK in 2016.
